Salesforce Online Order Form (OOF)  – NYC DSNY

Background – NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is world’s largest sanitation department. DSNY’s Bureau of Recycling and Sustainability (BRS) runs waste reduction and diversion programs while also developing and administering policies to support the City’s advancement toward its goal of sending zero waste to landfills. The project is to develop an Online Order Form application on the Salesforce platform to improve digital experience and accessibility for New Yorkers for ordering education materials. 

Approach – Innovee started by doing a thorough analysis of the proposed requirements. This process was followed by design, developed by the configuration team. Innovee consultants developed public facing portal which are custom pages developed using Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) technology on Service Cloud. This portal is available to users in ten different languages and complies with the Local Law (LL) 30 of 2017 by making it accessible for a diverse set of audiences. It also complies with the New York City Local Law (LL) 26 of 2016 by making the Order Form compatible with screen readers.   

In addition, Innovee created a Zero Waste Pledge Portal for New Yorkers to take pledge to reduce waste sent to landfills.
